Wade Graham is a writer, historian, and landscape designer. He has written widely on issues and policies related to urban life that have appeared frequently in the Los Angeles Times, the New Yorker, and Harper’s, among others. His new book Dream Cities: Seven Urban Ideas That Shape the World, will be published in January, 2016, by HarperCollins. He is also the author of American Eden: From Monticello to Central Park to Our Backyard, What Our Gardens Tell Us About Ourselves (HarperCollins, 2011). He has a Ph.D in American history from UCLA and has taught urban and environmental policy at the School of Public Policy at Pepperdine University since 2009. Since 1999, he has been a trustee of Glen Canyon Institute, a Colorado River restoration group based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
